Attention: OJFS Employees. Please keep in mind that you are assisting full-time students, Single income Mothers and individuals who have lost their jobs after years of employment. Please also note that there are individuals such as our elderly who have worked their entire lives only to have their spouses suddenly pass away forcing them to live off of $650 monthly social security. NOT everyone that is in need of assistance is "abusing" the system or is "lazy" as this label is thrown out like candy in a parade by your organization and the state of Ohio. There appears to be more time wasted collecting unnecessary documents than there is assisting those in need. Time management is EVERYTHING..if you cannot do your job, if you do not enjoy your job, if you are critical and are guilty of labeling those truly in need on your job, then FIND another job..most of you have a GED or High School Diploma and you're judging individuals with college degrees and years of dedication as valued employees until a company suddenly went under. Just a little advise from a Nurse!!

A majority of the people are very rude. I understand that there are regulation and policies that they have to follow and some people may get upset if the get denied of assistance. Which wouldn't be the person sitting behind the desk fault. But I wish these people that worked there would have more compassion and understanding. Everyone goes through hardship at one point and needs that extra help. I just can not tolerate ignorance. I called just to talk to my case worker because I had some questions. Instead of directing my call to my case worker she just asks me questions as to what my questions were and than wouldn't direct my call to them and only their voice mail which I think is very inconvenient for me cause I needed at quick answer. I wish they would hire more people who would be more caring but they don't and people on the outside continue to get mistreated and disrespected..
Well…. At least they’re consistent incompetent! I always go out of my way to be pleasant and courteous. In return, they are rude. If you call, you can expect the phone to ring without being answered on most occasions. If you are lucky enough for them to answer, they dump you in a voice mail system; voice mails are not returned. I asked questions that are simple and they don’t know the answer or give the wrong answer; I have had to correct them because I know more than them just by reading their website. This office does not realize that the lives of the citizens of Miami County depend on them being professional, educated and timely. They seem to purposely be antagonistic, incompetent and uncaring. If they hate their job, they should quit. If they cannot do their job, they should be fired.
They don't like to help or understand your getting barely enough money and you missing a week for basically nothing screws you
